The following is a list of Hero Abilities chosen via the Hero Ability option from Kingdom Favour which are generally available. These abilities may be limited to members of certain guilds or characters and the Character Refs should still be e-mailed to confirm the choice. This list is not exhaustive.
Cost: 1-2KF
Effect:
For 1 KF: The character can buy 2 Handed sword skill at the price difference between 2H and 1H sword skill as long as he has bought 1H sword skill of that level. This is for base weapon skills (and subdue), and does not cover favoured weapon. Points spent on these skills before buying this ability are refunded.
For 2 KF: All of the above, and also applies to favoured and chosen weapon, and allows weapon adepts purchased for either 1H or 2H sword to be used with either style.
Cost: 2 KF
Effect: Due to their improved knowledge, the character can optionally cast their chosen miracle as if it was one level higher.
This ability can take the miracle effect above the Level 10 boundary. When specialising in a miracle chain that is not continuous, the extra level will not have any real effect. This includes casting via items. The character must know the miracle to Level 8.
This Hero Ability is only available for Miracles.
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: For the purposes of Work with Conclave the character counts as 2 assistants.
Cost: 1 KF+
Effect: The Character has either a Fetch or a Spirit Guide with the following stats:
Life: 12
Mana/Standing: 3
Will: 0
Tough: 0
Dex: 0
The Fetch/Spirit guide functions like a normal Barbarian Fetch/Spirit Guide, including the ability to cast on it, intercept spells and miracles and be targeted by these.
For each additional KF spent, the character may borrow 1 ability from the fetch/spirit guide.
Fetches/Spirit guides will come with additional roleplay restrictions against spell casters and having magic cast on the user which are determined when purchasing.
Cost: 1-3 KF
Effect: For 1 KF the character can purchase the Piercing adept for Air Blast as a level 1 spell adept. This does not interact with the piercing option from Air Form. (So you can use both, but they don’t stack to make Through)
For 2 KF the character can purchase the Through adept for Air Blast as a level 3 spell adept. A use of Piercing must already have been purchased.
For 3 KF the character can purchase the Truestrike adept for Air Blast as a level 3 spell adept. A use of Piercing, Through, Swift and Undodgable must already have been purchased
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: Once a day the Paladin can give their Paladin protection to another person for 15 minutes. This follows all the rules for Paladin Protection. Such a gift should not contradict the guild restrictions of the Paladin in word or deed.
The DSI level will increase in line with the Paladin protection.
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: The Paladin’s Aura of Courage extends to within 20’ of the Paladin instead of 10’. The call is “Extended Range Aura of Courage <n>”
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: Any character receiving the Bestow Life ability from the Bladesinger is under the effects of a Stasis 1 for the duration of the ability.
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: The Bladesinger can use the Bladesinger Bestow Life ability on Half-Elves at half the usual maximum rate.
Cost: 1 KF
Effect: The Shaman’s Spirit Guide can intercept ALL power damage, not just miraculous power damage, as a Fetch can. The Shaman’s Spirit Guide can also be seen with Magic Sight, and can be targeted by offensive spells.
This hero ability is only available to Shamans
Cost: 1 KF +1KF for additional use
Effect: Once a day the Marshall may send one willing or unconscious target or dead body to the Plane of Justice, where they remain until the Marshall cancels the ability. During this time the target is held in stasis and does not bleed. Where relevant they count as being dead for the same period of time as when they entered. Castings on the target expire as normal, although a target who entered the Plane unconscious will remain so even if a casting causing this has expired.
Additional KF grants additional uses per day.
