The faintly alarming smell of wood smoke fills the air; out here, wood smoke means a camp and possible enemies, or a forest fire. Either option could be bad news for the patrol. You look around, hoping to spot the flames or the foe before trouble happens. You think you see something just off the path; as you step between two trees, the smell of smoke gets stronger. You step through the back door, following the smell of smoke and the squeals of laughter. Looking down the garden, it's just as you thought. Travesty had mentioned that he might be cleaning up the garden a bit, and he's found a willing helper; a little girl is with him cheerfully helping to feed the bonfire with garden rubbish. Both of them are covered with mud and ash. You sigh bemusedly and walk towards the duo. Travesty spots you first, the little girl too occupied with her pile of sticks to notice your approach. His only reply to the look on your face is to say "Vot?" in tones of injured innocence. You draw a deep breath in preparation for shouting at one or both of them, only to feel a pair of warm arms wrap around you from behind. You look down, startled, but relax when you see the ring on his finger, the pair of the one you wear. You turn around and return the hug. "Ve might as vell let her play, ja?" Calamity breathes into your ear, "A little mud von't hurt Tvilight, after all." You give him a Look, not wanting to admit he's right. He smiles and kisses you, the smell of wood smoke wrapping around the both of you. The feel of him next you fades away, and you open your eyes back in the real world again.
